"I'm sorry for your loss" is one of the most trite things you can hear in such a time as this.

Shane Dorian Casey took his life this morning, and has asked us to let you on his friends list know through his LJ. Funeral details will be posted as they are made.

I have been staring at this screen for half an hour. I still don't know what to say or do. I can't begin to find the words to express the profound sadness I feel for this loss to the world. What a talented soul! I hope he has found the peace he so deserved and could not find in this world.

i know it's weird leaving you a message here but i have to... we only talked two weeks ago, and you made it clear things weren't going anywhere, but it didn't seem like a big deal since we've always been messed up. So we just blobbed out and watched tv, but that's the way i guess things go.

We have lots of good friends but we always forget to call them, and we shouldn't do that but we're cold so we do, and most of the time that seems fine. And all I can do now is remember, and I want to post stories about you but the memories are all foggy so.

Actually it comes down to this. When we were at high school we were all freaks and supported one-another. Then most of us "grew up" and began acting like they were expected; you didn't and most of us simply stopped supporting you. And now it's too late, so. Man this sucks. thanks for listening to me vent dude, and, you know you deserved better, much love (insert smashing pumpkins heart icon).

Argh. I miss you. And yeah, I know writing this here when you can't or won't ever see it seems asinine. I don't care. I really, really, really fucking miss you and sometimes I feel the need to still come and check this journal. So here I am, and there it is. Bah.

If it makes you feel any better, I've sent him a few "I know you can't read this...." emails. I don't think there's been a day since it happened that I haven't checked this page. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
